My Mühle R41 is finally here! According to Badger & Blades’s list of DE blades by aggressiveness, the R41 ranks at the top. I’ve been curious to try out this level of aggressiveness and have paired it with the Derby Extra Stainless blade. Overall, the new razor doesn’t feel as aggressive as I thought. Thankfully. I was really careful with it though, with so many comments of it causing multiple nicks and cuts.

The blade exposure was lesser than I thought, and this seems to be a blade I can continue to use.

Mühle R41 (Paired with Derby Extra Stainless Blade)

• Gentleness: 8/10 (It was seriously gentler than expected. Zero nicks. However, this is taking note that I’m using a gentle Derby blade)
• Effectiveness: 9/10 (Clean shave)
• Ergonomics: 9/10 (Nice heavy custom handle)
• Experience: 8/10 (Nice shaving experience, though maybe I felt the blade was not extruded enough. Then again, with others experience, I might have to try more with more aggressive blades)

Overall quite a good razor and would recommend to people who want a gentle shave and is new to wet shaving. Personally I would go for something more aggressive to get hair out of my face fast though
